Equipment Mechanic I - Underground
About The Position
Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on mobile equipment and machinery Repair and replace damaged/worn parts, lines and components. Troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects. Collaborate with team members to complete maintenance tasks and projects Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inspections
Requirements
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies
- Flexibility to work 10-12 hrs/day, including Saturdays and overtime as needed
- Knowledge/understanding of 12v/24v electrical systems.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Must be punctual and have reliable transportation
Responsibilities

Benefits
- $27-28.76/hr with an additional $1.00/hr underground rate
- $2,000 Sign-On Bonus paid out in two installments (6 months and 1 year)
