About The Position

James Madison University (JMU), a Division 1 member of the NCAA and Sun Belt Conference, is accepting applications for an Equipment Manager - Part Time. The Equipment Manager reports to the Director of Equipment Room Operations and is primarily responsible for laundering practice loops, inventory and distribution of apparel and equipment to student-athletes and coaches across various equipment rooms on campus.

  • Able to work nights and weekends
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be able to work independently

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in a NCAA equipment room

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Director of Equipment with day to day operations out of the convocation center equipment room.
  • Assists other equipment managers across APC, AUBC, Godwin, and Memorial equipment rooms as needed
  • Responsible for laundering and return of athlete practice laundry
  • Tags apparel using a heat press
  • Assists Director of Equipment with inventory and apparel distribution using Teamworks
  • Helps keep equipment room clean and organized
  • All other duties as assigned
