About The Position

Velociti is seeking a skilled Equipment Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and deployment of commercial cleaning equipment throughout the Phoenix market. This role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, completing repairs, and ensuring all equipment is safe and operational for field use. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, self-motivated, and comfortable traveling to customer locations to perform onsite repairs when needed. This position offers a flexible part-time schedule with opportunities for additional hours during equipment rollouts, new account startups, emergency repairs, and special projects.

Requirements

  • Valid Arizona driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
  • Reliable transportation for travel to customer locations.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience repairing commercial cleaning equipment preferred.
  • Experience servicing equipment from manufacturers such as Tennant, Nilfisk, Clarke, Kärcher, Tornado, NSS, IPC Eagle, Windsor, ProTeam, Sanitaire, or similar commercial equipment preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical failures independently.
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance and repairing battery systems, motors, pumps, and other commercial cleaning equipment components.
  • Proficient using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple repair requests.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on commercial cleaning equipment.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, burnishers, buffers, backpack vacuums, upright vacuums, pressure washers, and related equipment.
  • Repair and replace motors, batteries, brushes, squeegees, filters, wheels, switches, hoses, belts, bearings, pumps, and electrical components.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, battery, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment issues.
  • Maintain accurate repair records, preventative maintenance schedules, and equipment inventory.
  • Coordinate manufacturer warranty repairs when applicable.
  • Order replacement parts and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Travel to customer locations throughout the Phoenix metro area to perform onsite diagnostics and repairs.
  • Assist with equipment preparation and setup for new customer account startups.
  • Inspect equipment prior to deployment to ensure safety, quality, and operational readiness.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe repair shop environment.
  • Recommend equipment replacement when repairs are no longer cost-effective.
  • Follow all company safety policies and manufacturer repair guidelines.
