Summary: The Equipment Maintenance Technician performs calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing and laboratory equipment within a regulated environment. This role supports equipment reliability, operational uptime, and compliance by executing scheduled maintenance activities, documenting work within the Equipment Management System (CMMS), and assisting with equipment qualification and validation activities. The technician partners with internal departments and external vendors to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant equipment operation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to communicate in English proficiently (speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-3+ years of equipment maintenance , calibration, or troubleshooting experience in a regulated manufacturing, laboratory or industrial environment
  • Experience working in GMP, medical device, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or tissue banking environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Office applications and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing, laboratory, and facility equipment in accordance with approved procedures and GMP requirements
  • Execute scheduled maintenance activities within established timelines using the Equipment Management System (CMMS) and ensure compliance with SOP requirements
  • Accurately document maintenance, calibration, repair, and validation activities in accordance with GDP (Good Documentation Practices) requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments and external vendors to coordinate equipment maintenance, repair activities, and service support
  • Support equipment-related investigations, troubleshooting efforts, root cause analysis, and corrective actions as required
  • Assist in the development, review, and continuous improvement of preventive maintenance and calibration procedures
  • Identify and escalate equipment reliability concerns, recurring failures, and potential compliance risks
  • Support equipment qualification, commissioning, and validation activities as needed
  • Maintain compliance with GMP, safety, and data integrity requirements
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment performance and maintenance effectiveness
  • Support audits and inspections by providing maintenance records and technical information
  • Adhere to and promote proper practices and techniques which are consistent with current operating procedures, training requirements, safety practices and company policies
  • May perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
