The position is based out of our Grand Island N.Y. site within the Bio Production Group. The candidate will be responsible for the production and facilities equipment at the Grand Island Facility. The Facility is a class 2 medical device manufacturer of liquids and dry powder media in cleanroom environments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Trade & Technical school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a production, manufacturing environment, preferably in a cGMP facility.
  • Preventive Maintenance experience utilizing a computerized maintenance management system.
  • Practical knowledge of cGMPs and working in an SOP environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of electro-mechanical theory and best practices for repair and maintenance of related production equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree is preferred.
  • Experience with Automated Manufacturing Equipment and the ability to troubleshoot electro-mechanical equipment to a component level preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day to day troubleshooting and maintenance of production equipment as well as facilities equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance of all equipment and calibrations of critical equipment.
  • Provide support to the production floor through set up and troubleshooting of automated equipment.
  • Provide engineering project support with the installation of new process equipment and process improvements.
  • Perform validation of new equipment and processes.
