About The Position

The Equipment Installer supports the installation or removal of vending and market equipment. This role prepares equipment for installation at accounts and performs all installations and removals for current and new accounts. The installer works with Managers and customers to determine the best course of action for equipment installation or removal. The install team drives to locations throughout the region. The role is responsible for moving equipment from the warehouse to the customer site or vice versa using proper handling equipment. Daily tasks include unloading and cleaning trash from the delivery vehicle, performing daily vehicle operative checks, reporting vehicle problems, and securing keys and the vehicle. The Equipment Installer sets up and operates mechanical equipment and small hand tools for equipment repair, installation, and/or removal, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment and performing job duties safely. The role also involves testing and filling machines to ensure customer satisfaction and performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma required.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; ability to pass DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports.
Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form; including basic CAD drawings with measurements.
Strong mechanical aptitude
Needs to have basic knowledge of finished carpentry, millwork installation, electrical connections, plumbing connections, and IT connections.

Responsibilities

Unload and clean trash from delivery vehicle, perform daily vehicle operative checks, report vehicle problems to the proper parties, secure keys and vehicle.
Sets up and operates mechanical equipment and small hand tools for equipment repair, installation and/or removal.
Maintain clean and safe work environment; performs job safely.
Test and fill machines to ensure customer satisfaction.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
