About The Position

UniFide CST is seeking an Equipment Installation Project Manager to lead complex equipment installations where precision, coordination, and strong field leadership are crucial. This role is ideal for a construction or industrial project manager who prefers hands-on field work and desires true ownership. The project manager will be responsible for projects from planning through final commissioning, ensuring installations are completed safely, efficiently, profitably, on time, and to the highest standards. This involves coordinating customers, subcontractors, technicians, vendors, and internal/external teams. Projects include truck scale installations, industrial weighing systems, concrete work, rigging operations, and large-scale equipment installations, often in active customer facilities. Success requires leadership, organization, technical awareness, and field presence, with empowerment to make decisions and solve problems in real time.

Requirements

  • 3-7+ years of experience in construction, industrial, or equipment installation project management
  • Experience managing subcontractors and multi-trade job sites
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, sequencing, and cost control
  • Ability to run projects in the field, not just coordinate from a desk
  • Strong organization and adaptability

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with rigging, crane coordination, or site prep
  • Mechanical, electrical, or industrial systems background
  • Experience working in active manufacturing or processing environments

Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-installation meetings with customers, electricians, concrete contractors, and crane operators.
  • Visit active job sites to monitor progress, resolve field challenges, and ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Coordinate equipment deliveries, rigging services, subcontractors, and technicians.
  • Adjust project schedules based on weather, site conditions, or customer operational requirements.
  • Review project costs, manage change orders, and identify opportunities to protect project margins.
  • Develop site layouts and project documentation for installation planning.
  • Communicate project updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with sales and service teams to ensure correct project scoping and profitable execution.
  • Resolve unforeseen field issues while maintaining customer confidence.
  • Verify installation quality, safety compliance, and readiness for final commissioning.
