Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3+ years of TIG and/or MIG stainless steel welding and fabrication experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical schematics.
  • Experience using fabrication equipment, hand tools, and power tools such as grinders, sanders, drills, and cutoff wheels.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 10%

Nice To Haves

  • Technical college degree, welding certificate, journeyman status, or related vocational training ideal.
  • Experience in food, beverage, or sanitary stainless steel manufacturing environments.
  • Sanitary welding certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Previous experience with equipment installation, startup, and commissioning.
  • Forklift and overhead crane operating experience.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize hand tools and fabrication machinery for cutting, shaping, grinding, drilling, and forming components.
  • Perform TIG welding and stainless steel fabrication to manufacture and assemble equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure finished equipment meets specifications and workmanship standards.
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely when moving materials and equipment.
  • Assist with small assembly projects and equipment preparation.
  • Support inventory control and ordering of fabrication parts and supplies.
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to complete projects efficiently and safely.
  • Travel 5-10% to customer locations for equipment installation, startup, and commissioning activities.
