This role is responsible for maintaining various wafer processing tools as directed by management, equipment engineers, and/or senior technicians. The technician will be able to run equipment to validate corrective actions and coordinate/perform both reactive maintenance and scheduled preventive maintenance on various wafer and assembly processing tools to maintain optimal uptime. This includes all support equipment such as pumps, power supplies, and gas cabinets. The position involves tracking, recording, and communicating the progress of maintenance work on Fab, Back End, and Assembly equipment, as well as training and mentoring new team members. The technician must be able to work independently and in a team environment, applying appropriate troubleshooting skills to correctly repair common failures. They will assist senior technicians and engineers in data collection to resolve reoccurring equipment issues and utilize available training materials to meet personal improvement goals. Participation in team meetings for continuous improvements and attending vendor offsite training as required are also part of the role. Additionally, the technician will be a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and collaborate with Process Engineering, Facilities, Test Engineering, and other departments. They will coordinate maintenance activities with the EES Manager and EES Engineers/Technicians, providing timely updates on equipment status to management and the Camstar System. Travel, both domestically and internationally, may be required.
