The Equipment Engineer will be responsible for driving a safe and high-quality equipment team, maintaining optimal tool availability through effective communication with various departments, and improving existing equipment and process roadblocks using data-driven methods. This role requires influencing and collaborating with colleagues and cross-functional teams, owning and developing KPIs and projects, and developing/implementing preventative maintenance programs. The engineer will also identify and correct chronic problem areas, work with equipment suppliers to improve tool capabilities, provide technical expertise for new equipment selection and installation, and manage spare parts requirements. Additionally, the role involves driving equipment issues to root cause, assisting technicians with complex repairs, providing status updates, coordinating maintenance activities, and participating in 5Y and 8D analysis. The position requires travel and 24/7 factory support.
