The Equipment Engineer will help drive a safe and high-quality equipment team, maintaining effective communications between EES, process engineering, quality, test, and manufacturing to ensure optimal tool availability. This role involves driving improvements on existing equipment and process roadblocks using data-driven methods, and influencing collaboration across teams without direct authority. The engineer will own and develop KPIs and projects, improve existing and expand new development processes, and develop/implement preventative maintenance programs. They will identify and correct chronic problem areas, provide data for decision-making, and work with equipment suppliers to improve tool capabilities. Additionally, the role involves training and developing EES technicians, providing technical expertise for new equipment selection and sign-off, directing new equipment installation, and developing/maintaining PM documents. The engineer will manage spare parts, drive equipment issues to root cause, assist technicians with PMs and repairs, lead complex repairs, provide status updates, coordinate maintenance activities, and give daily directions to technicians. Participation in 5Y and 8D analysis is required, along with potential domestic and international travel for 24/7 factory support.
