About The Position

NXP’s Technology & Operations organization plays an essential role in the company’s success by ensuring the delivery of high quality, scalable, cost-competitive technologies and supply to create a competitive advantage for our customers. This is a full-time, 12-week, on-site internship at the Austin Technology and Manufacturing Center (ATMC) in Austin, TX.

Requirements

• The candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical preferred
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in electromechanical system construction, repair, and/or maintenance
• In order to be considered for a summer internship with NXP you must be returning to school or graduating at the conclusion of the internship term. If you are graduating prior to July 2027 please apply to Entry Level full-time roles.

• Prefer Dec 2027 and May 2028 graduation dates

Responsibilities

• Drive a specific project within the Equipment Engineering team, appropriate in time (less than 3 months generally), scope, and technical knowledge (engineering skill needed, but minimal semiconductor expertise) to an intern
• Learn about the semiconductors and maintenance generally, the fab way of work, and the Equipment Engineering role
• Report out at the end to senior management about the results of the project, benefit to NXP, and what was learned
