About The Position

This role involves identifying, tracking, and controlling government and contractor acquired assets, and maintaining inventory records. The specialist will oversee the receipt, delivery, transfer, or disposition of assets in accordance with applicable government regulations using current technology. This position requires initiative, effective follow-through, and expertise in configuration management, life cycle support, document control, database management, and logistics engineering for hardware. The role includes maintaining receivables and protection of goods, collaborating with Government Furnished Property (GFP) staff and the receiving manager for efficient movement of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and GFP property, and assembling data to update and maintain an inventory of all GFP and GFE. A key responsibility includes transporting equipment and servers weighing up to 50lbs to the mailroom for shipment.

Requirements

  • Experience managing government equipment
  • Experience working with Excel
  • Experience handling government documents, including 1149s
  • Knowledge of equipment and property management tools or systems, and property management tracking systems such as AssetSmart and PIEE
  • Ability to multitask, communicate effectively, and pay strict attention to detail
  • Ability to move equipment up to 50lbs
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Logistics and Asset Procurement and Inventory Control
  • Knowledge of FMS property management processes
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and work independently
  • Bachelor's degree
  • CCNA, CCNP, VMWare, Linux, Security+, JNCIA, or JNCP Certification
