About The Position
The Equipment Cleaning Technician is responsible for performing all aspects of tank trailer and ISO cleaning, including inspecting the trailer for residual product, and post-cleaning inspection of the interior/exterior of the trailer. This role requires adherence to safety policies and regulations, including those from DOT, OSHA, EPA, and state/local environmental agencies. The technician will maintain a clean and safe working environment within the wash facility and complete necessary documentation.
Requirements
- Ability to speak, read, and understand English for comprehension of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) chemical information
- Ability to operate yard truck to move equipment
- Ability to navigate basic computer software and other business-related software.
- Excellent attention to details
- Mechanical ability and inclination
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Pushing pulling up to 50 to 100 lbs.
- Confined space entry is required.
- Must wear proper PPE.
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years relevant experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Safely and effectively perform all duties to prepare, clean and inspect tank trailers and ISO’s, including but not limited to: vents, valves, clean-out caps, clamps, loading/unloading lines, hoses, and other equipment that is to be cleaned as per normal tank cleaning procedures.
- Properly operate atmospheric testing equipment and understand the use and care of rescue equipment use in confined space rescue.
- Complete paperwork for Confined Space Entry, shipping and receiving of cleaned units, and operation of facility software for TW tickets, billing, safety, etc.
- Maintain an environment of cleanliness and safety within the wash facility.
- Complies with all HTC Safety, Health, Environmental and Security Policy and Programs
- Complies will all Department of Transportation regulations.
- Complies with all applicable OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Complies with all applicable state and local environmental regulations.
