About The Position
As an Equipment Associate at United Rentals, you will perform manual tasks that support smooth branch operations. The primary objective is to provide labor assistance to service technicians, sales staff, and other branch personnel as they meet customer needs. The position can lead to advancement opportunities in the Driver and Service Technician development programs. This position is deemed Safety Sensitive under United Rentals’ policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Effective communication, multitasking, and strong teamwork skills.
- Diligent attention to safety.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 45 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Check returned equipment for damage, hours used, mileage, and fuel level.
- Inspect rental equipment for safety decals and compliance, and confirm it is in good working order.
- Clean equipment and maintain a clean work area.
- Load and unload rental equipment and prepare it for rental.
- Check out and demonstrate equipment for customers.
- Drive a delivery truck to pick up and drop off equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
