About The Position

The Equine Groom performs the work necessary to care for horses at Culver Academies, a private boarding school in Culver, Indiana. Duties include feeding, watering, and grooming horses; turning them out to pasture; cleaning stalls and stables; and completing other work assigned by the supervisor. The role pays $15.50 per hour and requires a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

High school diploma or HSE.
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Ability to frequently lift 50+ pounds.
Physical capability for extensive bending, stooping, and walking.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Experience with a bobcat and other farm equipment is highly desired.

Responsibilities

Feed and water horses.
Groom horses.
Turn horses out to pasture.
Clean stalls and stables.
Perform other work assigned by the supervisor.
