About The Position

GDIT has an opportunity for a EPM Software Developer Associate who will design, develop, troubleshoot, and analyze software programs for computer-based systems, specifically within the fields of multi-dimensional data and financial analytics. As required, provides inputs for documentation of new or existing programs. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT Use object-oriented techniques, programming languages, and standard methodologies, including classic development, waterfall, and agile methods. Perform deployment, installation, maintenance, quality control monitoring, and implementation of EPM software. Maintain processes to log and track customer service requests. Maintain/develop software products to be used on a variety of platforms. Familiarity with Configuration Management (CM) tools, such as Subversion/Trac or Git. Familiarity with task tracking tool like JIRA. Background in web-based coding such as extensible Mark-up Language (XML) or GROOVY Scripts Experience with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs), such as JBuilder and/or Eclipse Design, develop, and document system and subsystem-level code. This includes support for system requirements, preliminary design, detailed design and specifications, data dictionaries, interface control/design documents, user help information/manuals, maintenance information/manuals, operations information/manuals, program code, quality assurance activities, and test. Develop customer requirements and information needs into software specifications that can be implemented Maintain/modify software code to add new features, correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or to improve system performance. Perform system and unit level testing. This includes test plans and procedures, Documentation of test results and development of special test code. Plan/conduct regression tests after each code modification, upgrade enhancement. Interacts with project customers and stakeholders to report project status and manage subsystems requirements. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT or similar field required
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Development experience (C++, JAVA, XML/XSD), scripting language experience, (Python, Perl, Hyperion, Oracle EPM, or EPM Calculation Manager), JAVA GUI development experience
  • One plus (1+) years of experience in Oracle EPM and programming experience in JAVA, C++, Python or similar languages. S oftware application design and development performing coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process
  • Must be a US Persons

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure with Linux/UNIX and REST API is a plus.
  • Desired skills: Oracle SQL, Relational databases, Cloud based computing and some finance knowledge as well as exposure to multi-dimensional databases
