About The Position

National Laboratory of the Rockies’ (NLR) Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) is seeking a full-time Financial Systems Professional. This role reports within the Business Systems group and supports Financial Planning & Analysis. The role focuses on direct support and maintenance of our financial planning system Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud, developing enhancements, and service tickets, daily support, month end and year end close processes while also contributing to data governance, troubleshooting issues, and assisting with optimizing system structure for improved analytics and performance across the enterprise. As well as assisting and developing training materials for stakeholders. The analyst will collaborate with NLR Information Technology Services (ITS) data team for data governance, delivery of OCFO data, and troubleshooting EPM system errors.

Requirements

Professional Level V - Relevant Bachelor's Degree and 14 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience. Or, relevant Master's Degree and 12 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience. Or, relevant PhD and 9 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience. Or, relevant JD and 9 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience.
Professional Level IV- Relevant Bachelor's Degree and 9 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience. Or, relevant Master's Degree and 7 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience. Or, relevant PhD and 4 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience. Or, relevant JD and 4 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience.

High level of experience in technical, administrative, functional, and development aspects Oracle EPM Cloud
Groovy scripting experience and understanding
Knowledge of , SmartView, , and EPM Automate
Expertise in administering integrations between on-premises and Cloud EPM by leveraging available tools including EPM Automate
Ability to build positive working relationships across the organization, service oriented
Experience writing technical specifications for work to be performed by other developers
5+ years of recent and relevant experience as an EPM technical, administrative, functional and development for on-premise (Hyperion) and Cloud EPM
Cloud EPM experience is essential
Demonstrated experience in leading full scope solutions delivery through analysis, design and development of integrations, extensions, user interfaces, reports and workflows within EPM
High level of experience in technical, administrative, functional, and development aspects Oracle EPM Cloud

Excellent impact-analysis skills and discipline
Carefully analyzes the existing code base as part of each design effort, to avoid redundancy and inconsistency and maximize code reuse.
Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) and an ability to communicate with internal and external customers and all levels of management, including communicating technical information to nontechnical audiences.
Clear understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology and respective experience with its application in design and development phases
Excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices. The SDE code must be worthy of being held up as an example for others to follow, in terms of readability, consistency, adherence to standards, and performance.
Familiarity with code management software including Git and familiarity of job scheduling in Github runner
2 years of proven work experience with a wide base of knowledge of data management principles, methodologies, and frameworks including master data management, data security, data dictionaries, metadata management, data governance, and data quality.
Proficiency in business process mapping, solution design, and data analysis
Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
Experience with reporting tools for analyzing datasets (Excel) and database languages (SQL)
Excellent organization, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to work well in a cross-organizational team environment
Entrepreneurial, self-starter that gets excited about proactively solving problems

Responsibilities

Administrator of EPM Systems. Take initiative to work collaboratively. Establishes positive working relationships across organizations.
Manage the EPM system for OCFO to include security permissions, respond to user requests, systems updates, troubleshooting as needed.
Ensure nightly, month-end, and yearly processes run smoothly, troubleshoot and update system as necessary to maintain operations as intended.
Responsible for collaboratively working with ITS on software development activities including authoring of requirements, solution specifications, test plans; development and testing of custom software solutions.
Provide technical input and recommendations on specific software solutions.
Support business units by researching issues and questions to determine root cause, identify course of action and bring issue/question to resolution.
Adhere to the software development process including utilizing iterative design approaches and concepts, creating, and filing appropriate documentation as prescribed by the process. Utilize the standardized support tools established for IT.
Manage your time and daily activities to satisfy work assignments, performance, and deliverables. Communicate status of work assignments.
Implement best practices for EPM administration
Adherence to Cyber Security guidelines for the proper security management and administration of EPM
Manage multiple purpose-driven EPM “pods” regularly
Coordinate and support regression testing of EPM monthly patching cadence
Coordinate and support major updates of EPM
Troubleshoot any process and integration issues between EPM and any other systems
Implement and follow proper approval workflows for user management
Rigorously manage EPM Identity Domain administrative accounts and access
