WEG Electric Corp. has an excellent opportunity for a EPLAN Control Panel Design Engineer. Key responsibilities include the implementation and ongoing maintenance of EPLAN software, with a focus on design standardization, project structures, templates, reports, macros and rules, library creation and maintenance, SAP connector integration, and factory automation. The role also includes developing comprehensive documentation packagessuch as electrical schematics, panel layouts, manufacturing instructions, and bills of materialsto support efficient and accurate production. You will be responsible for creating designs and documentation for industrial motor control panels that meet customer requirements while ensuring compliance with applicable standards and manufacturing procedures. This position plays a key role in the ongoing EPLAN implementation project, working in close collaboration with the companys headquarters and various U.S. departments to ensure successful deployment, integration, and adoption of the platform. Preventing electrical hazards is a top priority for electrical designers, thus, they need a thorough understanding of relevant standards. Designers have to keep colleagues, managers, and clients in the loop as to progress and deviations from schedule or budget so as not to disturb the workflow of the whole. Designers estimate the time, cost, labor, and materials that are needed to produce a real version of their ideas. They reformulate plans along the way based on unexpected circumstances or client changes.
