About The Position

The Health and Services Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for ad Epidemiology and Data Management Intern to work in our Operational Readiness Directorate at the Naval Health Research Center. In this role, you will use your expertise to support projects related to various injuries such as traumatic brain injury and musculoskeletal injury in service members. Primary Responsibilities: Support generation and preparation of datasets for statistical analyses, develop and test research hypotheses, identify and conduct appropriate statistical analyses such as multiple regression, analysis of variance/covariance, exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses. Effectively communicate processes and results (verbally, graphically, and in writing) for project leads. Support the development of research proposals, research protocols, presentations, technical reports, and publications. Assist with regulatory documentation including agreements and the maintenance of research protocols related to funded research projects Assist with review of published literature and government technical communications. Summarize and communicate findings to be used in grant applications and during dissemination of research.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
  • Ability to work onsite in San Diego, CA (some telework allowable upon approval from the government customer)
  • Active enrollment in a graduate program in public health or a related field
  • Ability to demonstrate strong problem-solving, communication skills, critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstration of creativity and original solutions for problem-solving.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail in tasking.
  • Experience working in a research setting

  • Experience working in a military research setting
  • Hold an active Secret clearance
