The Office of Communicable Diseases is looking for a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual with a background in the R Programming language to join their team as an Environmental Epidemiologist. This position plays an essential role within DHHS by managing tracking data and the data warehouse, fulfilling data requests, and providing analytical and epidemiological support for investigations to the Environmental Epidemiology Program (EEP). Under the guidance of the EEP Tracking Section manager and project manager, this person will assist with the goals and objectives of the Environmental Public Health Tracking Network (Tracking) CDC cooperative agreement, maintain and manage the Tracking data warehouse, and facilitate data requests, data analysis, and reports to support public health investigations. This role ensures that the Tracking data views on Utah’s Public Health Tracking Network web portal are maintained and updated, provides analytical and epidemiological support for investigations in other areas of the Environmental Epidemiology Program, contributes epidemiological expertise on national tracking workgroups, and communicates to the public when needed as it relates to the position.
