About The Position

Baptist Health Medical Group is looking for an Epic Training & Application Support Analyst to join our team in Louisville! Under general direction, responsible for application training and integration of information technology in the healthcare setting. This position will serve as a liaison between the IT department and operations to align system design with operational processes for Baptist Health Medical Group. This role ensures that all users are proficient in using Epic applications to enhance patient care and operational efficiency including data collection, workflow analysis, testing, training, system user personalization and ongoing support and troubleshooting to resolve user issues and optimize system performance. Participates in application deployment and procedure documentation. Ensures that the software build meets organizational goals and external mandates such as HIPAA and MIPS (Promoting Interoperability).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with two years' applicable experience or Clinical degree (MA, LPN, RN) or two years' direct healthcare experience in patient registration, access or billing in an ambulatory setting including but not limited to management/supervisor experience.

  • Epic Credentialing in at least one of the primary applications used in the medical group (e.g. EpicCare Ambulatory, Cadence/Prelude.) within 6 months.
  • Must obtain Epic Credentialing in at least one additional application, within 1 year.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver classroom training to new hires, existing staff, and providers on applications used by ambulatory practices.
  • Provide one-on-one training to end users as needed or requested.
  • Provide re-education to users as requested.
  • Keeps current with system upgrades/enhancements and provides training as appropriate.
  • Develop interactive training modules in the learning management system.
  • Resolve or triage support calls as first tier support for all ambulatory locations.
  • Ability to research complex problems and formulate appropriate plans.
  • Provide assigned on-site support during routine rounding, go-lives, and system upgrades.
  • Provide on-call support when scheduled, as needed.
