The Epic Technical Manager (ETM) acts as a thought leader and liaison to the Information Services team, focusing on improvements to the Epic technical infrastructure and release management process. This role involves developing business processes that enhance change management, improve patient safety, quality, and reduce administrative costs, while ensuring regulatory compliance. The ETM defines and implements change control processes, coordinates key Epic environment activities such as updates, upgrades, and build migrations, in close collaboration with Information Services and clinical teams. They will assist with managing application upgrades with Epic by setting timelines, maintaining communication, and addressing issues, as well as supporting the implementation, documentation, and go-live of new Epic modules and updates. The ETM is responsible for managing their team in alignment with Stamford Health (SH) priorities, department goals, and strategic objectives, requiring skills in thought leadership, solution provision, relationship management, staff management, and acting as a clinical and financial business partner. A strong understanding of healthcare clinical workflows, processes, and interdependencies is essential, along with knowledge of HIPAA, CMS regulations, other healthcare rules, and cybersecurity awareness.
