About The Position

Oklahoma City Indian Clinic (OKCIC) is implementing Epic, and we're seeking an experienced Epic Integrated Environment Analyst to help build and maintain the technical foundation powering our enterprise health information system. In this role, you'll collaborate with Epic application analysts, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity professionals, and operational leaders to manage system integrations, interface development, environment management, security, and data conversions. Your work will ensure reliable information exchange, secure access, and stable system performance across the organization. Requirements

  • Must align with OKCIC vision, mission, and core values
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Health Informatics, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field required. An equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience may be substituted, with one (1) year of additional relevant experience accepted in lieu of each year of required education.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience supporting healthcare information technology, electronic health records (EHR), systems integration, interface development, environment management, or enterprise healthcare applications required.
  • Candidates must successfully pass the Epic Sphinx Assessment as part of the interview and selection process to be eligible for employment in this position.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical and operational requirements, troubleshoot interface and integration issues, coordinate enterprise system changes, manage secure application environments, and optimize system performance.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with application analysts, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity personnel, vendors, executive leadership, and operational stakeholders.
  • Must maintain all required certifications, credentials, and continuing education applicable to the position throughout employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience configuring, implementing, testing, supporting, or optimizing Epic Bridges, Data Courier, user security, data conversion utilities, or other Epic-integrated environment applications is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting HL7 interfaces, FHIR integrations, interoperability solutions, interface engines, healthcare data conversions, user provisioning, role-based security, change management, system migrations, or enterprise application deployments preferred.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards, including HL7, FHIR, CCD/C-CDA, interface architecture, healthcare information security principles, Active Directory concepts, identity and access management, database fundamentals, and healthcare technology best practices preferred.
  • Epic certification, accreditation, or proficiency in Bridges, Data Courier, Security, or other assigned Epic integrated environment applications preferred.
  • Certification may be required based on the assigned application or role responsibilities.
  • Technical certifications related to systems integration, interface development, cybersecurity, networking, cloud technologies, or healthcare interoperability are preferred but not required.
  • Other clinical, technical, or professional certifications may be required based on assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Build, configure, and monitor HL7 data interfaces using Epic Bridges to connect the core EHR with external legacy systems
  • Manage system change migration paths across development and production environments, utilizing Epic Data Courier tools
  • Coordinate user identity security matrices, user role templates, and context security permissions
  • Execute data conversion plans, restricted strictly to patient demographics, CCDAs, and future appointment items
  • Triage interface errors, log connection incidents, and partner with network administrators to verify secure integration points
