Epic HB Analyst
About The Position
The Epic HB Analyst will be responsible for configuring, building, and maintaining the Epic Hospital Billing (HB) module. This role involves gathering and documenting business requirements from revenue cycle and billing stakeholders, and translating operational workflows into Epic system build and configuration. The analyst will support charge capture, billing workflows, claims, and remittance processes, and will perform various levels of testing including unit testing, integrated testing, and end-to-end revenue cycle testing. Key responsibilities also include troubleshooting billing errors, charge issues, and claim rejections, and collaborating with other Epic teams (PB, Cadence, Prelude, Resolute, Clinical) as needed. The role supports go-live activities, stabilization, and post-implementation optimization, and requires the creation and maintenance of system documentation, workflows, and training materials. On-call or after-hours support may be required during upgrades or critical issues.
Requirements
- Experience with Epic Hospital Billing (HB) module configuration, build, and maintenance
- Proficiency in gathering and documenting business requirements
- Ability to translate operational workflows into system configuration
- Experience supporting charge capture, billing workflows, claims, and remittance processes
- Skilled in unit testing, integrated testing, and end-to-end revenue cycle testing
- Experience troubleshooting billing errors, charge issues, and claim rejections
- Familiarity with other Epic modules (PB, Cadence, Prelude, Resolute, Clinical)
- Experience supporting go-live activities, stabilization, and optimization
- Ability to create and maintain system documentation, workflows, and training materials
