About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Epic Cadence Consultant with a strong background in hospital systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Epic Cadence scheduling, workflows, and integrations within a healthcare setting. This role involves collaborating with hospital stakeholders, configuring Epic Cadence, optimizing scheduling workflows, and ensuring seamless integration with other Epic modules and third-party applications.

Requirements

  • Epic Cadence Certification is required.
  • 3+ years of Epic Cadence experience in a hospital system.
  • Strong knowledge of hospital scheduling workflows and best practices.
  • Experience with Epic implementations, optimizations, and upgrades.
  • Ability to analyze, configure, and troubleshoot Epic Cadence applications.
  • Experience working with hospital IT teams, providers, and scheduling staff.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Epic Prelude, Epic Resolute, and other integrated modules is a plus.
  • Experience with Epic Community Connect or multi-hospital system implementations.
  • Familiarity with SQL, reporting tools (e.g., Clarity, Caboodle), and data extraction for scheduling analysis.
  • Background in healthcare operations, revenue cycle, or patient access management.

Responsibilities

  • Epic Cadence Configuration & Optimization: Design, build, test, and maintain Epic Cadence module to support hospital scheduling operations.
  • Workflow Analysis & Improvement: Assess current scheduling workflows and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and patient access.
  • Integration & Interoperability: Work with Epic teams to ensure smooth integration with other Epic modules (e.g., Epic Resolute, Epic Prelude) and external systems.
  • End-User Training & Support: Provide training, documentation, and ongoing support to hospital staff and schedulers.
  • Project Management & Implementation: Assist in Epic implementation, upgrades, and go-live activities, ensuring alignment with hospital operational goals.
  • Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve system issues related to scheduling, template management, and appointment workflows.
  • Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure adherence to HIPAA, regulatory guidelines, and Epic best practices in scheduling operations.
