About The Position

This position is responsible for modernizing analytics and streamlining reporting assets from Business Objects/Crystal Reporting to Epic native reporting, including Reporting Workbench, SQL, SlicerDicer, and Radar dashboards, as well as Tableau. The role also supports cloud transition and use of Microsoft Fabric. The administrator supports and maintains reporting environments and business reporting services, and works with data and design partners to develop, maintain, and improve data marts, data warehouses, and staging areas. The position develops and deploys reporting solutions, contributes to enterprise reporting strategy and architecture, and maintains documentation, standards, quality, and service-level performance while working independently and assisting or mentoring others. The role is primarily remote, with the employee required to live in the Dallas–Fort Worth area or be willing to relocate. The listed work location is Texas Health Resources, 612 E. Lamar Blvd, Arlington, TX 76011. The schedule is full-time days, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for 40 hours per week.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a relevant field, or four years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
Two years of relevant work experience in one or more of the listed areas.
Experience administering complex business intelligence reporting environments, including Business Objects Enterprise XI, Cognos version 10.1 or higher, MS SQL Server 2005 to 2008 R2, or Epic Reporting applications.
Experience with relational databases and SQL, including MS SQL Server 2005 or higher, DB2, or Oracle 10g or higher.
Experience with systems security administration, including native security and Windows Active Directory; performance tuning; maintenance and troubleshooting of web application servers; MS Windows host server environments; or MS web browsers.
Experience translating user requirements into detailed technical specifications and participating in reviews of technical specifications and developed solutions.

Responsibilities

Support and maintain development, test, and production Cognos, BOE/Crystal, SSRS, or Epic Reporting environments.
Work with the DBA, ETL Architect, Business Analyst, and Data Architect on changes to data marts, warehouse environments, and staging areas.
Maintain the business reporting environment to preserve consistency, intuitive usage, data quality, and timely availability.
Periodically review and update knowledge base documentation, working independently and mentoring or assisting others.
Complete incidents within service-level agreements and provide timely, accurate estimates for requests.
Perform triage and root cause analysis for incidents identified in the production environment.
Meet or exceed service-level agreements, including customer service scores, change notice closures, incident and problem ticket resolutions, and request ticket completion.
Design, build, and deploy actionable reporting solutions in accordance with established standards.
Collaborate on the design and architecture of data marts to provide an accurate, high-performing reporting environment.
Collaborate with the design team and BI Architect to design, build, test, and deploy an environment supporting a single version of the truth, actionable results, future flexibility, and self-service.
Analyze, develop, and deploy enterprise-level reporting strategies.
Document newly developed reports using available tools, while mentoring others.
Follow established standards, quality requirements, and best practices while mentoring others.
Develop, execute, and document complete and accurate structured system acceptance test plans.
Develop detailed implementation plans while mentoring or assisting others.
Communicate promptly with customers, project teams, and vendors, and escalate issues and risks appropriately.
Identify, develop, and document detailed reporting requirements and specifications throughout the data warehouse life cycle, integrating with the existing data warehouse environment.
Review reporting code and design documents for accuracy, compliance with standards and best practices, and alignment with business requirements.
Provide estimates for analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment tasks while assisting others.
Work with the Data Architect, DBA, Business Analyst, and ETL Architect to develop high-performance, highly scalable data marts.
Manage and maintain documentation and configuration control libraries for production reporting code.
