Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare operations, clinical workflows, or health IT
  • 2+ years of familiarity with Epic modules or healthcare EHR systems (Epic build experience is a plus but not required)
  • 2+ years of experience with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent communication and facilitation abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Comfort working with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Business analysis: requirements gathering, documentation, process improvement
  • Collaboration: ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams
  • Adaptability: comfortable learning new systems and workflows
  • Critical thinking: ability to break down complex problems and propose practical solutions
  • User‑centric mindset: focus on improving end‑user experience and operational outcomes

Nice To Haves

  • Epic build experience is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Partner with clinical and operational stakeholders to understand current workflows, identify gaps, and translate needs into clear, actionable requirements
  • Participate in Epic-related projects, upgrades, and optimization efforts by documenting requirements, validating functionality, and supporting testing activities
  • Create detailed process maps, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria to support development and configuration work
  • Develop test plans, execute testing, and coordinate user acceptance testing to ensure solutions meet business needs
  • Assist in identifying root causes of system or workflow issues and collaborate with Epic analysts to resolve them
  • Serve as a liaison between end users, Epic analysts, project managers, and leadership to ensure alignment and transparency
  • Contribute to training materials, communication plans, and go‑live readiness activities
  • Work with reporting teams to define data needs and validate report outputs
  • Recommend enhancements to workflows, processes, and system usage to improve efficiency and user satisfaction
