About The Position

Lockton is seeking a detail-oriented, technically savvy Billing Specialist to provide technical support for its Canadian commercial insurance department. The role supports the Revenue Operations team and is responsible for new and renewal billing processes, along with other technical and clerical duties. The position calls for effective communication and organizational skills in a collaborative, agile work environment.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, and/or equivalent education and work experience.
• Working knowledge of general accounting terms and principles.
• General understanding of commercial property and casualty coverages.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Passion for providing a high level of service to clients and fellow associates.
• Strong numerical reasoning and aptitude skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with associates and/or clients at all levels.
• Ability to work outside normal business hours as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Canadian-specific experience with commercial property and casualty coverages is preferred.
• Experience with Applied Epic is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Canadian commercial insurance invoices in the Epic agency management system.
• Perform data quality checks and provide account teams with process guidance and status updates.
• Work with tax teams to ensure accurate data capture and tax filings.
• Assist with accounting reconciliations and quality controls between systems.
• Deliver timely and effective client service to internal account teams.
• Complete other technical and clerical duties as assigned.
• Participate in educational and knowledge training opportunities.
