About The Position

The Sonoco Apprenticeship Program, in partnership with Calhoun Community College, offers hands-on career experience in state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. Apprentices will gain exposure to senior leadership and mentors dedicated to developing future leaders. The program aims to provide valuable work experience in a supportive atmosphere for learning and growth. Positions are available in various business areas including Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain/Operations, Quality Control, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing, Sales, Environmental Health & Safety, and Purchasing.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited university or college pursuing a degree in Process Technology
  • Available to work part-time in between class days
  • U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrates teamwork, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Computer proficiency required (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Able to use relevant computer programs to analyze data and create documents

  • Gain exposure to various areas of our business through rotational assignments
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to projects
