This position acts independently to lead multiple projects and assignments, facilitating and improving clinical or business information system’s technical solutions and tools. The specialist will continuously advance their knowledge of current products, including obtaining application certifications and staying updated on system configurations and emerging technology and industry trends. They will also actively participate in professional development programs defined by the department. The role involves leading projects, estimating hours for upcoming projects, recommending and implementing workflow modifications, and collaborating with key vendors. The specialist will leverage knowledge of user experience design principles and apply lean belt methodology. They will direct the configuration of application features and security settings, and create support documentation. The position also involves acting as a primary advisor to team members, covering managerial responsibilities in the leader's absence, and proactively identifying barriers to completing work. The specialist will lead meetings, develop agendas, and participate as a workstream lead on cross-functional projects. They will run optimization requests/projects, request new assignments or participate in stretch goals, and drive projects from conception to completion with minimal oversight. The role requires working with vendors to establish short-term product roadmaps and investigating and resolving application and system configuration issues. The specialist will work closely with third-party vendors to ensure proper installation and configuration of vendor software and troubleshoot issues related to server configurations, system services, and interface jobs. High adaptability is required to accomplish dynamic responsibilities and evolving project requirements, including working off-hours as needed and participating in an on-call rotation. Standard responsibilities include complying with departmental policies, attending meetings, demonstrating Quality Improvement, complying with health and safety regulations, respecting diverse views, maintaining attendance, and performing other related duties.
