About The Position

Oklahoma City Indian Clinic (OKCIC) is a non-profit corporation that provides culturally sensitive health care to the American Indian population. OKCIC services include not only basic medical care but also dental, optometry, behavioral health, fitness, nutrition, and other family programs. The Oklahoma City Indian Clinic (OKCIC) is implementing Epic—and we're looking for an experienced Epic Application Analyst – Outpatient Clinical Systems to help design, build, and optimize the technology that supports exceptional patient care. In this role, you'll partner directly with physicians, nurses, behavioral health providers, dental teams, and other clinical stakeholders to create Epic workflows that improve efficiency, enhance patient safety, and support high-quality care across our outpatient clinics. Requirements

  • Must align with OKCIC vision, mission, and core values
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Nursing, Health Informatics, Healthcare Information Technology, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or a related clinical or technical field required. An equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience may be substituted, with one (1) year of additional relevant experience accepted in lieu of each year of required education.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible experience supporting healthcare information technology, electronic health records (EHR), clinical information systems, or enterprise healthcare applications required.
  • Candidates must successfully pass the Epic Sphinx Assessment as part of the interview and selection process to be eligible for employment in this position.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical and workflow issues, analyze system performance, and develop effective solutions that support clinical and operational objectives.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.
  • Must maintain all required certifications, credentials, and continuing education applicable to the position throughout employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience configuring, implementing, testing, supporting, or optimizing Epic or other electronic health record applications strongly preferred.
  • Experience analyzing clinical workflows, gathering business requirements, developing system configurations, conducting application testing, and supporting end-user adoption is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ambulatory clinical workflows, clinical documentation, provider order entry, clinical decision support, and healthcare operations preferred.
  • Epic certification, accreditation, or proficiency in assigned application(s) preferred. Certification may be required based on the assigned application or role responsibilities.
  • Current clinical licensure may be preferred or required for certain analyst assignments based on application responsibilities.
  • Other clinical, technical, or professional certifications may be required based on assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, build, and maintain ambulatory clinical documentation tools, including SmartForms, Navigators, flowsheets, and templates across assigned clinical modules
  • Set up clinical decision support tools (Best Practice Advisories) and medication ordering workflows across outpatient specialties
  • Analyze unique clinical and regulatory requirements for specialized clinics like Behavioral Health, Wisdom Dental, and Eye Care
  • Conduct thorough workflow walkthroughs with clinical subject matter experts to validate the system build and ensure user adoption
  • Develop and execute application and integrated testing plans to ensure system safety, data integrity, and workflow continuity
  • Provide Tier-2 technical support, troubleshoot documentation discrepancies, and manage user-specific configuration changes
