About The Position

Ready to help build the future of American energy? As a Project Engineer at Centrus Energy, you'll serve as the owner's advocate and play a hands-on role in bringing complex projects to life. From early planning and design through construction, testing, and final turnover, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to help deliver critical systems and infrastructure supporting the deployment of our enrichment facility in Piketon, Ohio. This is an exciting opportunity to develop deep technical expertise, work alongside industry partners, and make a lasting impact on one of the nation's most important energy initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Degrees in Architecture or Construction Management will also be considered
  • 3+ years of engineering experience, preferably supporting construction or industrial projects
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Project engineering or project management experience
  • Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering background
  • Experience working with contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with quality programs, testing activities, and configuration management processes
  • Current "Q" security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Centrus teams, EPC contractors, vendors, and suppliers to support the design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and startup of new and existing plant systems.
  • Develop engineering documentation.
  • Support quality and configuration management activities.
  • Participate in field walkdowns.
  • Assist with integrated testing efforts.
  • Monitor project progress and budgets.
  • Help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with program requirements.
  • Occasional travel to vendor locations.
