Boston Scientific offers a comprehensive portfolio to treat atrial fibrillation (AFib), including cryoablation, radiofrequency ablation and FARAPULSE™ Pulsed Field Ablation therapy. Our technologies include 3D mapping and navigation systems, radiofrequency ablation catheters, diagnostic catheters, EP recording systems and intracardiac access sheaths designed to help diagnose and treat heart rhythm disorders. In this field-based role, the Electrophysiology Mapping Specialist will begin with an intensive training and development program to gain in-depth knowledge of our technologies and prepare for success. Upon completion, the specialist will provide expert clinical, technical and educational support to physicians, EP lab staff and sales representatives during cardiac procedures using the Opal HDx™ Mapping System within a defined territory, contributing directly to patient care and business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience with 3D cardiac mapping systems, or minimum of 8 years' experience in medical device sales, clinical electrophysiology or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and ability to discuss and explain complex technical product information.

Nice To Haves

  • NASPE/IBHRE CEPS certification.
  • Degree in biomedical or mechanical engineering.
  • Experience with atrial fibrillation, cardiac mapping or structural heart procedures.
  • Current experience using a 3D cardiac mapping system.
  • Master's degree or other advanced degree in business or health care.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain advanced clinical knowledge of EP diagnostic and ablation technologies, pulsed field ablation, mapping and recording systems, transseptal access tools and left atrial appendage occlusion technologies.
  • Attend procedures in cardiac CV/EP labs to provide clinical support for Boston Scientific AF Solutions products, including the Opal HDx™ Mapping System, FARAPULSE™, transseptal access tools, diagnostic and therapeutic catheters, and WATCHMAN FLX™ devices.
  • Educate customers on the clinical use and benefits of AF Solutions products through customized presentations, demonstrations and ongoing training.
  • Meet with physicians and clinical stakeholders to assess their needs and demonstrate how Boston Scientific products support optimal patient outcomes.
  • Develop relationships with hospital staff, physicians and administrators to expand influence across departments and facilitate strategic decision-making.
  • Respond to clinical and technical inquiries by collaborating across functions, including sales, clinical research, marketing and technical support.
  • Demonstrate change leadership and collaborate cross-functionally to align local activities with broader strategic goals.
  • Implement strategies outlined in quarterly action plans and coordinate efforts with sales teams to advance business objectives.
  • Support physician education and market development by engaging referring physicians, fellows and key opinion leaders.
  • Train on and adhere to clinical trial protocols and compliance standards in accordance with global regulatory expectations.
  • Manage clinical trial activity within the territory, including interest visits and site initiation visits, and educate investigators on study procedures and products.
