About The Position

The EP Nurse Navigator will play a crucial role in coordinating Watchman procedures and supporting the EP program. This position involves conducting pre-procedure patient education, managing procedural logistics, maintaining accurate patient records and registry data, and serving as a liaison between healthcare facilities. The role requires a blend of direct patient interaction, administrative coordination, and some hands-on support in the EP lab.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; must hold a current, unrestricted RN license in New Mexico or be eligible for reciprocity.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent workflows with accuracy.
• Clear, confident communication with patients, physicians, and external care partners.
• Comfort working across both the EP lab and the clinic environment.
• A strong commitment to data accuracy and documentation detail is essential.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a cardiac, electrophysiology, or procedural nursing setting is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with EP workflows, device procedures, or structural heart programs is a significant plus.
• Surgical technologist certification is welcome but not required.
• A willingness to scrub cases and support procedural care is more important than prior credentialing.
• Familiarity with registry data entry, outcomes tracking, or quality reporting systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-procedure patient calls and education sessions.
• Complete pre- and post-operative order entry.
• Coordinate all aspects of Watchman procedures, from referral through implant.
• Enter and maintain accurate data in the Watchman registry.
• Work in the EP lab approximately six days per month.
• Serve as the nursing liaison between Current Clinic and TCRH.
• Manage EP lab inventory and coordinate ordering.
• Track Value Based Outcomes metrics for the EP program.
