About The Position

The EP Lab Tech assists physicians with invasive electrophysiology procedures, maintains EP Lab equipment, and provides direct and indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures. The role provides care during established procedures and sedation and performs advanced-level electrophysiology cases. The EP Lab Tech also serves as a subject matter expert in challenging cases, guiding fellow EP lab technicians in the proper operation of equipment and procedures used in the EP Laboratory.

Requirements

• Education as a Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES).
• Four years of Cath Lab or EP experience.
• Either RCIS, RCES, IBHRE, or current Georgia RN licensure upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures.
• Provide care during established procedures and sedation for patients.
• Perform advanced-level EP cases.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in challenging and difficult cases.
• Guide fellow EP lab technicians in the proper operation of equipment and procedures used in the EP Laboratory.
