About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining a high standard of overall store appearance, including cleanliness and recovery standards, to deliver on Brand Promises. The position involves delivering friendly customer service, assisting customers with their shopping needs, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for both customers and staff. Key duties include collecting and disposing of trash, dusting and mopping floors, moving equipment and products for cleaning, and preparing cleaning solutions. The role also requires deep cleaning of specific store areas such as bathrooms, breakrooms, and entryways. The team member must maintain cleaning equipment, notify supervisors of supply needs, and proactively identify and address areas requiring cleaning. Additionally, the position involves maintaining positive interactions, serving as a role model, and performing other assigned duties which may include checkout, customer engagement for loyalty programs, assisting with omnichannel processes, participating in truck unloading and stocking, and supporting safety and shrink programs. Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs is essential for compliance.

Requirements

Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.
Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
Ability to move throughout the store.
Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching.
Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.
Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.

Responsibilities

Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including cleanliness and recovery standards.
Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers in finding products.
Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in correct placement.
Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment.
Mix water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions.
Deep clean key areas of the store including bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, and other high traffic areas.
Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly and notify supervisor of supply needs.
Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
Project a positive image and serve as a role model.
Provide a fast and friendly check out experience and execute cash handling to standards.
Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
Participate in the truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
Support shrink and safety programs.
Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs for compliance.
