Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment, and in fabricating metal parts and tools. The Wastewater Department is responsible for filtration and chemical processing of an average of 1.7 million gallons of water per day. This includes water treatment, influent/effluent charges, surcharge regulations, sludge moisture, regulatory sampling, permitting, ground water usage, vacuum systems, and handling meat, feather, bone, and sludge offal issues. The role also involves managing assigned projects, maintaining all CERs (Capital Expenditure Requests) from an evaluation, cost justification, and development standpoint, and ensuring timely closure of CERs. Additionally, the position monitors for environmental compliance, reporting, and permitting, including TierII, Form R, boiler and air permits, wastewater reporting, and storm water permits.
