About The Position

This is a full-time, onsite position at a BAE Systems facility, requiring 100% of work to be conducted on location. The role may involve some weekend work. Employees at Electronic Systems work on advanced electronics for various applications, including aerospace and defense. The start time is between 6:30 am and 8:00 am.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Understands standard test procedures.
  • 1 year+ of experience in electrical testing and troubleshooting of circuit card assemblies.
  • Understanding of Thermal Vacuum systems.
  • Comfortable working in a team environment.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Must Be Able to Obtain None Clearance Level.
  • U.S. Person Required.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 year associate degree in Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years’ experience of electrical testing of circuit cards and systems.
  • Experience in Thermal Chambers.
  • Experience in vibration testing of circuit card assemblies and boxes.
  • Understanding of vacuum systems.
  • Experience in AOI (automated optical inspection) of circuit card assemblies.

Responsibilities

  • Performs tests of circuit cards on a custom-designed tester platform using a Windows-based PC platform.
  • Sets up and operates in accordance with prescribed procedures on designated tester platform, including installing circuit cards into test fixtures and connecting appropriate cabling.
  • Performs environmental testing in either a thermal chamber or thermal vacuum chamber environment, requiring basic operation of these chambers.
  • Performs and sets up vibration testing of circuit cards.
  • Sets up new programs and conducts program validation for new products on the Flying Probe tester and Automated Optical Inspection system.
  • Assists with troubleshooting failures.
  • Uses test software in a strict configuration management environment.
  • Pulls and reviews data packages at the end of each test to support End Item Data Packages.
