About The Position

Leidos' Defense Systems / Manufacturing is seeking a talented and qualified Industrial Operations Environment Test Manager to join our Defense team in Huntsville, AL supporting the Common Hypersonic Glide Body (CHGB) Program. This role will oversee a diverse group of Test Technicians and be responsible for their growth. This position will also support the integration and testing of complex Avionics and Navigation/Guidance Systems, ensuring hardware and integrated systems performed as designed.

Requirements

A BA/BS and have at least 5+ years of relevant experience or at least 10+ years of relevant experience.
The candidate should have 2+ years of experience supervising or leading teams and/or projects.
Experience in a MIL-STD-810 Test Environment
Background in Manufacturing and/or Test Operations.
Ability to read and interpret Mechanical and Electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Experience working with Thermal, Pressure, Acceleration, and Vibration test equipment.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Experience in electronics/avionics/environmental testing
Have a current DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

Manage a diverse Environmental Test Technician Team consisting of approximately 8 Technicians of Multiple Disciplines.
Team development, with a focus on skills development, career growth, and retention using enterprise leader toolkits.
Perform targeted feedback sessions with employees.
Complete Performance Appraisals and identify individuals ready for Promotion.
Executes test procedures to support integration and vehicle delivery.
Analyze test results and document Non-Conformances.
Collaborate with Test Engineering and Quality to support resolution of Non-Conformances.
Collaborate with Test Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to meet our technical, schedule, and cost objectives.
