About The Position

This is an early-to-mid career role embedded within a high-tempo, multi-disciplinary engineering team. You will support end-to-end environmental and reliability test campaigns—including Design Verification Testing (DVT), qualification, and reliability testing—for advanced optical payloads across air, ground, maritime, and space domains. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who thrives on taking complex hardware from early proof-of-concept through to full-rate production.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in a related engineering field
  • Solid knowledge of climatic and dynamic testing
  • Solid knowledge of environmental test instrumentation and data acquisition
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good at working independently and with various teams and key stakeholders
  • Must be capable of lifting at least 50 lbs for short periods of time
  • Must be comfortable with hands on work and working in noisy environments including outdoors under adverse weather conditions
  • Minimum BS in an engineering discipline
  • U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data

Nice To Haves

  • Performed Environmental testing at previous job(s) for military and/or commercial industry
  • Strong Knowledge and test execution per MIL-STD-810 and/or MIL-STD-461
  • Strong Knowledge of Shock & Vibration testing including fixture design and control strategies
  • Strong knowledge of various instrumentation and data acquisition
  • Generated MATLAB/Python scripting for test data automation and data processing
  • Basic understanding of hoisting and lifting / rigging
  • Knowledge on how to run and operate shakers, chambers, and other major test apparatus
  • Environmental Stress Screening Principles
  • CAD skills (any platform) and ability to make high quality engineering drawings that meet common industry standards
  • Experience in an immersive interdisciplinary technical project (collegiate project teams or professional settings)

Responsibilities

  • Function as a member of an interdisciplinary team capable of executing static, dynamic, fatigue, thermal and vibration testing on all of Anduril’s product lines for the Imaging Division
  • Test items ranging from small integrated electronics systems to full system level sensors and more
  • Operate thermal chambers, shakers, data acquisition systems and structural test equipment as needed to satisfy test objectives
  • Lead test design reviews, visit vendors, define and execute hardware test plans
  • Build test equipment, implement test automation, analyze failures and execute qualification campaigns
  • Travel to test sites as needed. This includes local and out of state travel which could be a week or two at a time
