About The Position

Environmental Technician will perform tasks involving physical labor at industrial sites. Operate hand and power tools of all types: pressure washers, vacuum equipment, air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble, debris and other waste materials. May enter confined spaces.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• 1-3 years of plant experience.
• Safety Essentials.
• TWIC card.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the cleanup of hazardous material spills.
• Assist in industrial cleaning/vacuuming
• Assemble products or production equipment.
• Assemble temporary equipment or structures.
• Assist skilled construction or extraction personnel.
• Clean work sites.
• Dig holes or trenches.
• Install plumbing or piping.
• Load or unload materials used in construction or extraction.
• Locate equipment or materials in need of repair or replacement.
• Maintain extraction or excavation equipment.
• Maintain mechanical equipment.
• Mix substances or compounds needed for work activities.
• Move construction or extraction materials to locations where they are needed.
• Operate cranes, hoists, or other moving or lifting equipment.
• Pour materials into or on designated areas.
• Remove debris or vegetation from work sites.
• Dispose of hazardous materials.
• Investigate the environmental impact of projects.
• Maintain clean work areas.
• Package materials for transport.
