About The Position

The Environmental Team Member is responsible for maintaining the store's cleanliness and overall appearance to ensure a positive customer experience and a safe environment for staff. This role involves various cleaning tasks, customer service, and supporting store operations.

Requirements

  • Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to move throughout the store.
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
  • Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.

Nice To Haves

  • Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain store cleanliness and recovery standards.
  • Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers.
  • Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
  • Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
  • Move equipment and products for cleaning and return them to correct placement.
  • Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment.
  • Prepare cleaning solutions by mixing water and detergents.
  • Perform deep cleaning of key store areas such as bathrooms, breakrooms, and entryways.
  • Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly.
  • Notify supervisor of supply needs.
  • Proactively identify and address areas requiring cleaning.
  • Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
  • Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
  • Project a positive image and serve as a role model.
  • Provide a fast and friendly check-out experience and execute cash handling.
  • Engage customers about Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
  • Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
  • Participate in truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
  • Support shrink and safety programs.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
  • Execute Company policies and standards.
