About The Position

The Environmental Team Member is responsible for maintaining a high standard of the store's overall look and feel, including cleanliness and recovery standards, to deliver on Brand Promises. This role involves delivering friendly customer service, assisting customers in shopping the store, and finding products. The position requires collecting and disposing of trash, dusting and mopping floors, moving equipment and products for cleaning, and preparing cleaning solutions. Deep cleaning of key areas such as bathrooms, breakrooms, and entryways is also a core responsibility to ensure a clean and safe environment for customers and staff. The team member must maintain cleaning equipment, notify supervisors of supply needs, and proactively seek out areas requiring cleaning. This role also involves completing assigned tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines, and maintaining positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers. Additional duties may include providing a fast and friendly checkout experience, handling cash, promoting Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, assisting with Omni channel processes (BOPIS, SFS), participating in truck un-loads, stocking, and planogram processes, supporting shrink and safety programs, and adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.

Requirements

Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.
Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
Ability to move throughout the store.
Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching.
Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.
Applicants in the U.S. must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

Maintain store cleanliness and recovery standards.
Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers.
Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in correct placement.
Clean assigned areas with assigned materials and equipment.
Mix water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions.
Deep clean key areas of the store including bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways and other high traffic areas.
Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly and notify supervisor of supply needs.
Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the task.
Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
Project a positive image and serve as a role model.
Provide a fast and friendly check out experience and execute cash handling.
Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
Participate in the truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
Support shrink and safety programs.
Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
Execute Company policies and standards.
