About The Position

Performs work of moderate difficulty supervising housekeeping and cleaning activities for Lucy Corr and performs other work as required.

Requirements

• Good working knowledge of cleaning, finishing, and disinfectant chemicals
• Knowledge of the operation of floor buffers and shampooers
• Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of equipment and machinery used in housekeeping work
• Ability to maintain a positive customer service attitude
• Ability to be proactive and responsive to departmental needs
• Core curriculum for a high school diploma
• Two to three (2-3) years of Environmental Services supervisory experience preferably in a health care setting, or an equivalent combination of training and experience

Responsibilities

• Assigns duties, trains and supervises Environmental Services personnel
• Interviews and makes employment selections
• Maintains personnel schedule
• Conducts in-services
• Maintains documentation of personnel performance
• Counsels personnel
• Conducts performance reviews of Environmental Services personnel
• Inspects all assigned areas in residents’ rooms and bathrooms
• Makes cleaning assignments and inspects cleaning of non-resident care areas
• Assigns and monitors floor maintenance for all floor surface types
• Assigns and monitors equipment maintenance
• Conducts monthly room inspections
• Inspects rooms for new admissions
• Facilitates the set-up of rooms for special meetings and functions
• Assigns and maintains documentation of large housekeeping projects
• Requisitions department supplies
• Tests and evaluates new products
• Assigns distribution of supplies
• Processes payroll
• Performs other duties as required
