As an Environmental Services Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of patient rooms and all other areas within the hospital. This critical role helps protect everyone from potential illness or injury caused by infectious diseases or other hazards. Daily tasks include routine cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting, as well as utilizing specialized equipment and techniques for facility sanitization. The position requires adherence to proper disposal techniques for biohazard materials, including bodily fluids and sharp objects. You may also be responsible for refilling dispensers for soap, paper towels, and other supplies, and delivering clean linens. Success in this role requires thoroughness and a strong commitment to safety, as the technician is a vital component in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients, visitors, and staff, contributing to a well-maintained facility that brings comfort and peace of mind.
