About The Position

This role involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation within resident rooms, corridors, and other common areas. Responsibilities include washing, dusting, polishing, disinfecting, and vacuuming furnishings and fixtures. The aide will also perform terminal cleaning for new resident arrivals, follow infection control policies, clean bathrooms, empty wastebaskets, clean interior windows, wash walls and floors, assist with room changes, clean furniture, answer pages, and perform laundry duties as needed.

Requirements

Ability to follow infection control policies.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as washing, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning.

Responsibilities

Washes, dusts, polishes, disinfects and vacuums furnishings, bath fixtures and standard room fixtures in resident rooms, corridors and other rooms in the area.
Scours and polishes sink, tubs, mirrors and similar equipment, replenishing supplies of soap, towels, and other dispensable items.
Terminally cleans resident room, bathroom, bed and furnishing for new resident arrivals.
Follows infection control policies to prevent cross contamination of resident rooms and furnishings.
Cleans Resident and public bathrooms in your area.
Empties wastebaskets and wipes or washes as necessary in all resident rooms and bathrooms.
Cleans interior windows when required.
Washes and spot cleans walls, baseboards, doors and floors.
Assists with bed changes and room changes.
Cleans wheelchairs, Geri chairs and other furniture as required.
Answers pages.
May be sent out of the facility when necessary.
Performs Laundry duties as necessary.
Performs other duties as required.
