About The Position

An Environmental Services Aide plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, residents, visitors, and staff. Environmental Services Aides are responsible for cleaning and disinfecting different areas of a facility while following safety and infection-control procedures. Their work helps prevent the spread of germs and contributes to the overall comfort, health, and well-being of everyone in the facility.

Responsibilities

• Performing a variety of cleaning and sanitation duties throughout the facility.
• Cleaning patient or resident rooms, offices, hallways, bathrooms, common areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, emptying trash, and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces.
• Properly using cleaning chemicals, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) according to facility policies and safety guidelines.
• Keeping cleaning supplies and equipment organized.
• Reporting safety hazards, maintenance concerns, or supply shortages to their supervisor.
