About The Position

Cliff Berry, Inc. is currently looking for an experienced Environment Staff Scientist for our Fort Lauderdale location who will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient and effective operations of the service center. This position entails a wide range of responsibilities, including administrative duties, SAP management, technical report writing, field service coordination, and business development support. The Environmental Staff Scientist is responsible for ensuring smooth communication between various stakeholders, maintaining accurate records, and facilitating the completion of field service projects while prioritizing health and safety as the top goal.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a Field Administrative Coordinator role or similar.
  • Minimum three (3) years previous supervisory experience and field experience.
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Previous experience in administrative roles, preferably in a field service or similar industry.
  • Previous technical report writing experience, preferably in a field service or similar industry.
  • Proficiency in SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and protocols.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to support operational requirements.
  • Upholds a professional image to those both inside and outside the company.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that health and safety protocols are strictly adhered to at all times, following established policies and procedures to prioritize the well-being of employees and customers.
  • Assist in the expansion of services and business development efforts, Support the development and implementation of strategies to grow the service center's customer base and revenue streams. Collaborate with the Senior Geologist to identify opportunities for business expansion and improvement.
  • Prepare comprehensive field reports documenting project activities, findings, and recommendations. Ensure reports are accurate, clear, and concise, adhering to company standards and client requirements.
  • Responsible for creating job packets in SAP, including invoicing and billing processes. Ensure accuracy and completeness of job packets, monitor dailies for any discrepancies, and communicate changes as needed. Provide regular updates to the Senior Geologist on SAP transactions and financial activities.
  • Field and direct incoming calls from customers and employees, ensuring prompt and professional responses. Maintain constant communication with relevant stakeholders to optimize service center operations. Provide regular reports to the Senior Geologist regarding field service activities and operational performance.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including creating purchase orders, scheduling pick-ups and deliveries, and coordinating daily schedules for field service work and equipment dispatch.
  • Coordinate with customers to ensure timely payment and proper extension of credit. Assist with collections efforts as needed to maintain healthy financial operations. Provide billing and collections reports to the Senior Geologist for review and analysis.
  • Be available to extend scheduled working hours as needed to accommodate emergency coverage or to complete ongoing work.
  • Able to perform duties while on call as needed for emergency response activities as well as company on call management duties after required training.
