The Environmental Service Supervisor is responsible for, under the direction of the Director of Support Services, developing and implementing goals and objectives; establishing departmental policies and procedures; performing quality inspections, assisting in performance appraisals, coordinating daily cleaning assignments, providing direct and indirect supervision of EVS employees; providing for continuing in-service education; maintaining inventory levels; preparing reports; serving as a resource for special requirements in Environmental Services. Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • A current motor vehicle operator's license

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct supervision for Environmental Service Technicians.
  • Determines and executes daily cleaning assignments.
  • Develops, recommends and implements goals and objectives for the department.
  • Reviews, develops, recommends, and implements departmental policies and provides necessary communication.
  • Conducts daily inspection to ensure quality Conducts performance appraisals for assigned staff.
  • Conducts daily communication huddle providing essential information.
  • Maintains proper cleaning chemical inventory and supplies.
  • Ensures safety program for all personnel within the department in conjunction with the safety program of the hospital.
  • Performs daily rounds on patients to ensure cleaning quality meets to exceeds patients standards.
